Spider-Man Release Date
During a recent livestream, Marvel representatives suggested that Insomniac’s Spider-Man is currently set to release sometime before the end of 2017.
Previously, it had been speculated that the game could miss its suspected 2017 release window since neither Marvel or Insomniac were attempting to ensure the game’s release date coincided with the release of any particular film. Insomniac has since suggested that there is no confirmed release date for the game at present, but if the 2017 release window is accurate, then it is likely that the title will not be available until sometime later in the year.

In what must be considered a piece of dream casting in the gaming world, Insomniac Games (developers of Ratchet and Clank and Sunset Overdrive) are going to be helming the next Spider-Man game. Announced at the Sony E3 2016 conference, the game looks to stay true to the comics all the way down to Peter Parker’s witty banter.
“Spider-Man is one of the most iconic and well-known characters in the world, and we’re thrilled to be given the responsibility to create a brand new, authentic Spider-Man story,” said Insomniac on PlayStation Blog.
“This is a more seasoned Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City,” Insomniac continued. “At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his absurdly chaotic personal life and career.”
